I often listen to the radio at work, and invariably the key stories of the day will include the words ‘research has shown that…’
Why is that? Well quite simply because those very words instantly make people believe what they are about to say. The fact that they have conducted some research to prove or disprove a hunch is incredibly powerful. Those very words capture people’s attention right from the start.
So why limit this to news stories? Why not use the power of research to benefit your own business as well? Through the clever use of research you will be able to:
Give credibility to your marketing communications. Show your customers that you care about what they think of you. Gain PR through fact-based studies within your industry. Position your company as the expert in it’s field.

Remember, good research should be viewed as an investment, not a cost. If its well designed and thought out, it will pay for itself time and time again by retaining existing customers, attracting new customers, and reducing operational and marketing costs. Make sure your research works as hard as possible for you by thinking about all the ways in which you will want to use it from the very start of the project.
